Skin Problems
Are generally related to circulatory problems.
All living cells in our body require a source of oxygen and nutrients to stay alive. At the same lime, waste matter from the cells has to be removed and excreted by the lungs, kidneys and liver.
The skin is the largest organ in the body. It envelops the body, covering the external surface and becomes continuous with the thin, delicate mucous membranes lining the internal surfaces. For example, the skin of the nose merges imperceptibly with the membranes on the inside of the nose.
Skin has a number of functions, some of which are quite complex. These are:
- protection against physical injury and radiation injury.
- preventing invasion by bacteria.
- sensor of temperature, touch and pain.
- regulation of body temperature.
